In August 2013, our founder's world was turned upside down when her baby boy arrived 15 weeks premature. Those early weeks in the NICU are a blur of beeping monitors, hushed voices, and an overwhelming love for a little one fighting to grow. Amidst all of that, something unexpected became a source of real stress: finding clothing that actually fit.
The Problem No One Talks About
When a baby arrives early, the usual newborn wardrobe simply doesn't work. Standard "tiny baby" clothes swamp a premature infant, making skin-to-skin contact harder and nappy changes more stressful than they need to be. Our founder searched high and low for premature baby clothing in the UK — and found that the options were either scarce, poor quality, or eye-wateringly expensive.
At a time when families are already stretched emotionally and financially, that felt deeply unfair.
So she decided to do something about it.
